　　麦道梅（曾志伟饰）人如其名，一生历经坎坷无数，去内衣厂工作就连累企业业绩直线下滑，谈女朋友就被抛弃，连累的三十多岁的家姐至今未嫁。无奈的姐姐拿出了家传的玉镯赠与一事无成的麦道梅，希望帮他转运，抑郁的麦道梅酒后驾车，被人撞下高坡，迷迷糊糊见到了牛头马面，此二鬼卒告知麦道梅阳寿未尽，在王百万、包黛丽、石神三人身亡之后即是他麦道梅之死期……清醒过来的麦道梅马上遇上了被撕票的富翁王百万，而石神便是绑架王百万的案犯之一，而包黛丽则是石神的女友，为了自救，麦道梅试图保护包黛丽和石神，因此卷入了这起绑架案，而石神的妹妹石女（钟楚红饰）更是令麦道梅心动。未知麦道梅如何自救，又怎样赢得石女芳心？
