　　带着过往伤痛，塞吉欧只身一人前往「微笑之村」担任代理教师。这座对负能量零容忍的小镇，明明曾遭逢巨变，居民们却笑口常开。原来，让这座微笑之村风光明媚的秘方，是一位能吸取人间苦痛的男孩，他的身体如祭坛，透过拥抱承担全村的悲伤。他为人搭建快乐天堂，自己却陷入无尽黑暗。塞吉欧与男孩的相遇，搅乱了镇上的平衡；那座炼狱之门，也终将反向人间敞开。

Fox 配音）、塞西（莎莉·菲尔德 Sally Field 配音）和阴影（唐·阿米契 Don Ameche 配音）是三位相处多年的好友，彼此之间感情十分要好。不过，值得一提的是，它们三位并非人类，而是小主人莫利（Mariah Milner 饰）饲养的宠物。　　某日，由于工作的关系，莫利的父母将这两狗一猫暂时寄养在朋友的农场中，然而，早就习惯了主人日日陪伴的他们误以为遭到了抛弃，心中充满了不安和恐惧，三位小能手决定联合起来踏上旅途，靠自己的力量找到回家的路。对于三只动物来说，这一路充满了变故与风险，凭借着小小的身躯，它们真的能够如愿回到主人的怀抱吗？

　　Set in the American West of 1876, 'R.I.P.D.2: Rise of the Damed' is a spiritual (pardon the pun) sequel to 2013's 'R.I.P.D.' Sheriff Roy Pulsipher isn't too thrilled about finding himself dead after a shoot out with a notorious outlaw gang, but he does get a second chance to return to earth after being recruited by the R.I.P.D.
