大军阀
日俄战争期间，土匪头子庞大虎（许冠文 饰）假扮成俄国人烧杀抢掠，他打退了懦弱的清兵，也击败了日本人。庞因此受到俄国人的嘉奖，一跃成为统治北方的军阀头子。这个大字不识一个的老粗虽然身居高位，却也闹出不少笑话： 上任之初，一支求雨队伍挡住庞大虎的去路，庞闻听大怒，下车将龙王臭骂一通，并扬言炮轰龙王庙。无巧不成书，大雨随即而至，庞因此被马匹精和懵懂百姓捧上天；寡妇高白氏（胡锦 饰）勾搭家中长工纪伯常，偏巧为求学归来的小叔子撞破，y-妇于是诬告小叔子意图强迫。庞大虎奇人出奇招，巧断这起强迫案；妻妾成群的庞贪婪无度，意欲强娶女伶兰芳，兰芳之父愤而阻拦，反遭其杀害。多行不义必自毙，作恶多端且颟顸的庞大虎终于迎来了自己的末日

But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present. Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
