飞贼赵飞入大理国幸得九龙杯，献给灵山姥姥修炼神功。此事令大理国国王非常不悦，遂令御前侍卫虎魁取回九龙杯，但虎魁确为赵飞所伤，临死前遇书生时云生，遂请其代寻义兄龙魁为他报仇。时云生随同寻到之龙魁一起上灵山，巧遇姥姥之徒，各发展出一段感情。不料，确让姥姥得知时云生为其仇家，欲杀其报仇，但时云生得到姥姥徒儿圣女之助，服下神丹，功力大增，杀死姥姥，夺回九龙杯
