　　An uplifting and heartwarming story about finding the magic of Christmas, no matter where you might be, This Is Christmas follows Adam (Alfred Enoch) and Emma (Kaya Scodelario) as they make their daily commute from the picture-perfect village of Langton to London for work. Every day they share their journey with the same characters, but they all keep themselves to themselves. But then one day, in the build-up to Christmas, Adam breaks the unwritten rule of travel and starts talking to the strangers on the train, inviting the whole carriage to hold their own Christmas party.

　　1998年，19岁的卷发单恋少女朴世莉（申银秀 饰）有了聪明转学生的助攻，下定决心非追到校草不可。

 孙博士虽然满腹经纶，无奈言语木讷、囊中羞涩，常遭妻子训斥、儿子“驾驭”，出门在外，也受尽白眼。他的学生张医生却是“遭遇激情”，身为精神病主治大夫却无力治愈丈夫的欲望。精神病人斗殴，张医生唤医务人员强行制止。电击会损伤病人的短期记忆，张医生觉得用新研制的药物结合心理治疗对病人比较有利。博士买菜刚踏进院门，便听见妻子怒斥邻居牛记者，原来博士的儿子拿牛家的金鱼喂了狗，博士妻不分青红皂白斥责牛记者不该让他的金鱼伤了她家名狗的肠胃。博士忙劝妻子息怒，不料妻子称过他买来的鱼，见不足斤两，更是火上浇油，命他回菜场讨回差价。张医生约博士星期天商谈。妻子不允：这不是美国!想性解放、自由化!博士招架不住，逃出家门。街上形形色色的广告，引发博士奇想——他要发明一种神药，改变妻子、张医生的丈夫、病人和各种怪人的脾性。博士与张医生一拍即合，两人合力研制，功夫不负有心人，新药使蛮横的妻子柔情似水、通情达理；张医生的“占有狂”丈夫变得温文尔雅、体贴入微；狂躁不安的病人也变得循规蹈矩。牛记者获悉，抢先报道，一时间，各报纷纷以醒目的标题宣传神药，各经营单位都想订购，牛记者也因此解决了夫妻分居两地无法团聚的事宜。博士的儿子乘其不备溜进实验室，好奇心起，将药剂乱配一气，致使药性大乱，服药的病人恢复旧貌，甚至变本加厉。博士被停职反省、扣发工资，而且不断遭群众围攻、责难。博士妻挺身而出，说医治脾性不靠灵丹妙药，“神药”乃是一颗爱心。

　　寅次郎收到莉莉從沖繩寄來的信，原來她在夜總會唱歌時暈倒入院，還說：「臨死前，很想見寅一面」。寅馬上趕到沖繩照顧莉莉，縱然闊別了五年，兩人的感情有增無減，莉莉休養期間，寅更隨傳隨到，旁人都以為他們是夫妻……淺丘瑠璃子演的莉莉第三度登場，叫寅再三考慮「結婚問題」。山田自言「這是我最愛的作品之一」，渥美清去世後，山田在《男人之苦》系列中只選了本片(加插新片段)推出特別版來紀念這位一代巨星。　　Upon receipt of a letter from Lily telling Tora that she would like to see him before she dies, Tora rushes to Okinawa, where Lily has fainted during one of her performances.
